Welcome to the home of anaesthesia exam preparation courses run by anaesthetists from the Gold Coast University Hospital.

We are delighted to announce the dates for our inaugural fellowship exam preparation course for 2026: 16th - 20th November 2026. Registration will go live in the next few weeks so please check back soon to sign up! We look forward to helping you clear the final major hurdle to becoming a specialist!

The Primary Exam Preparation course continues this year as usual with dates and registration available below.​ Initially started many years ago by Dr Kerry Brandis, over the years innumerable primary exam sitters have been guided on the path to success an important and difficult exam. The course runs for 2 weeks full-time (10 days) in October and covers the full breadth of the curriculum and includes MCQ and SAQ practice.
The Fellowship exam course will follow a similar design but lasts 5 days. The faculty includes consultant anaesthetists with whose experiences cover all aspects of anaesthesia, many having undergone international subspecialty fellowships. We also expect to have examiner(s) available to be questioned about technique and their expectations of a good answer in order to maximise your opportunities for success!​​
